404.FM is built to respect your privacy. The app streams public internet radio stations and is designed to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don't — handle.

No account, no profile

404.FM does not require you to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location, and we do not build an advertising profile of you.

What stays on your device

Your saved stations, favorites, theme choice, and other preferences are stored locally on your device only. This data is not transmitted to us and is removed when you delete the app or clear its data.

Streaming & third parties

When you play a station, your device connects directly to that station's streaming server and to public radio directory services to load station information. Those independent providers may receive your IP address and standard connection data as a normal part of delivering the stream. We do not control and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Analytics & advertising

404.FM contains no advertising and no third-party advertising trackers. The App Store and Google Play provide anonymous, aggregate crash and stability diagnostics to help us keep the app working. This reporting does not include any personally identifiable information and cannot be used to identify you.

Children

404.FM is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Your data & deletion

Because 404.FM does not collect or store any personal information on our servers, there is no account or profile to delete. All data the app stores (saved stations, theme preference, and other preferences) lives on your device only. To remove it completely, clear the app's data in your device settings or uninstall the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version on this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
